It was this day that we had our last ultrasound to find out just how big our little bug was! I had been having weekly nonstress tests for about a month at this point...non of wich were fun! At this point I was about 39wks, measuring around 42-43wks...Not good i guess...So an ultrasound was in order...I also had preclapsia with lots of swelling and high bloodpressure (that is why so many nonstress tests) nothing was every wrong with Barrett's heartrate and his movements were always good so he just stayed inside while i was misarable all over! I was on partial bedrest for a month!
Ok back to the day...Dr.Richmond sent me to MHP to have an ultrasound to measure Barrett and he was measuring at a estimated weight of 8lbs 12oz...give or take 1.5lbs...yeah that is right he could weigh 11lbs!!!!!!!!!!!! He was also postiriur (or face up) which isn't good...So Dr.Richmond was going to call me that afternoon I heard NOTHING....So at 4:30pm I called him...he knew NOTHING....Great...So by noon on Friday i heard NOTHING....so i called again...He knew NOTHING! are you for real!?!? So he said he would make arragments to meet with the radiologist as soon as he could either friday afternoon or Monday morning and call me ASAP as he knew something...GREAT! I wanted to know NOTHING all weekend that was my dream come true...How did he know?!? SOOOOOOOO I waited all weekend wondering and waiting for monday! Little did I know that my fait had already been decided by two awesome Doctors. My doctor Richmond and my surgeon DR.Breon...They had a little meeting about me over the phone on Saturday...Dr.Richmond called me bright and early Monday morning 7:30am on Dec.7th....he told me I had an hour to get to his office...It had snowed the night before so nic was out plowing snow, and i had daycare kids arriving...Next best thing to nic is my dad...so i called him and he came over to watch my daycare kids while i went to find out what the deal was...Got the the doctors office and my bp was 175/120...yeah that is soooooooooo not good.....guess who was the lucky winner of another non stress test??? ME ME ME!!!! Also it was decided that I would be having a csection either that day or frist thing Dec.8th...Well by the time i left for the hospital for the non stress I had informed all my daycare parents that I was now done with daycare until January...YEAH me...Had the non stress relaxed enough to get my bp down to 145/100 so they let me go home!!!!
We got up bright and early to go have a csection on Tuesday December 8, 2009...
Barrett James (NO HE WILL NOT BE CALLED B.J.!) was born at 8:56am via csection weighing 9lbs 12oz and 20in long!

8 weeks (almost)
Tomorrow my little bug will be 8 weeks old...Where did the time go? He is growing like a weed! He has brought alot of joy to our lives and a lot less sleep to my life. But I am totally ok with having less sleep he is soooo worth it! He usually sleeps 5-6hrs a night! He has found his voice and uses it alot weather it be crying or cooing! he is trying hard to giggle and it is really cute to watch! He smiles now when you smile or talk to him. He is a total mommas boy so far...but likes his daddy too! I don't have any pics on this computer so you will have to wait until my next update for pictures. He has his 2 month check next week and I will post his stats then with a picture!

My Husband Rocks~supportive
Well, here we sit this morning entering our 37th week of pregnancy! So pretty much anytime now we could be embarking on this new chapter of our lives...Hard to imagin what our lives will be like with a little one here all the time...
During these last 37 weeks i have tried hard not to complain much, but there are times when i have and nic is always right there to try to make me feel better or do whatever task needs done that i am stuggling to do. He has helped more with daycare kids, cooked more, and not complained everytime he sits down and i ask for something...I am soooo lucky to have him even if we did fight this week and my nice hormones did ask him not so nicely to move out (the suddend mood changes really stink sometime!)
Nic, I love you and thank you for ALWAYS being there when i need you the most!!!

My first random dozen!

1. Candy corn: Your thoughts?
I like it...love it with peanuts the best!!!
2. Briefly, what was the first conversation you ever had with your spouse? (or best friend, if you're not married.) (Or someone significant, like your librarian.)
Well, that is probably something i will NEVER forget...Here is the convo...Me-Hey did you know that your name is spelled wrong? Nic-Well, there is no H in my name. Me- Oh so that means there is no K in nic? Great first convo don't ya think?
3. Could you ever become a vegetarian?
Maybe for lots of money...otherwise no
4. Have you ever dressed up your pet in a costume?
oh yes remi has a halloween costume...a bumble bee!

5. Name something about childhood that you miss (like Clark Bars, Teaberry Gum, Malibu Barbie, cracking fake eggs on people's heads with your fist and "It's the Great Pumpkin" airing only once a year).
Oh my...i miss no worries...and not having a care in the world!! No stress...
6. Have you ever won a trophy? If not, what do you deserve a trophy for?
I do have some for softball...
7. When do you think is the appropriate time to begin playing Christmas music each year?
If you ask the daycare kids we would listen to it all year long...nic and i will start in november...but i will also start decorating for chirstmas before thanksgiving this year just because well i am getting ready to have a baby!
8. What's your favorite board game? I like monopoly, life and trivial pursuit...
9. How do you feel about surprises (receiving, not giving)?
I like good surprises...flowers from nic just because are the best!!!
10. Is it easy for you to say, "I'm sorry?"
yeah. I am ok admitting when I am wrong or need to say sorry.
11. What is your favorite candle scent?
Apple Cider or anything cinnamion
12. October is traditionally "open house" time in public schools. If you had a literal open house in your home (like a reception) what light snacks would you serve visitors and what would you show them (as in art projects, graded papers) that would uniquely represent you?
Well i would serve candycorn and peanut mix, and cookies, with lemonaid and spiced cider. I would show them our new antique tables and the baby's room probably!
