HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This is Remi from last Halloween...I need to take his picture by our pumpkins this year...I hope you all had a great beggers night last night...I am a little dissappointed...This is out second year having trick-or-treaters and there just aren't that many....we had maybe 35 or 40...almost not worth the 10 bucks worth of candy we bought and have 3/4 of it left over...

Anyway...I just wanted to tell you all Happy Halloween...This is the Start of out first Holiday seasons as a married couple....Kinda exciting...what is even more exciting is that in 21 short days I will be off of work for 2 days!!! I get a 4 day weekend and my Husband is off too!!!!!!! I can't wait!!! I also can't wait for my little over a week off at Christmas!!!! I am in dier need of a vacation!!!!

AHHHH this stinks!

Ok, Nic started working second shift last night....I HATE it...I have been gone most of both nights with girl scouts and book club but have been home from 8 till 11:30 alone and it is sooo weird...I don't know what i would do if i wasn't soo busy...i don't know that i could stay home from 5:30 when the daycare kids leave until 11:30 when nic gets home all everynight...it is hard...hopfuly this only is a year long thing and he will be able to move to first shift...

Friday night is the last home football game of the season...nic is upset that he has to miss it...but he will be making money so it might be ok...

MONDAY!

Well, today is defenatly a monday...The kids are whiney...I am tired...and Nic started his new job..He has orenintaion today and starts 2nd shift tomorrow...We are a little sad to be losing our evenings together but know that it is what is best for our family...

I had a revolation yesterday...My year has been something....I started out the year Single...and an only child and in april i became married and gained two sisters...now 6 months later I gained another sister and a little brother... It is weird how things change like that...

I am excited about the holidays to come...to be with family and to meet the newest member of the Perkins family....

work work and more work

Well, Nic had his drug tests and physical yesterday for his new job...I think he is now getting really excited to move on. He will be with a better company with greater chance of advancement. We are both really excited to start a new adventure in our lives. This job will give Nic a bigger income and we will be able to rest more easy at night knowing that we have a little extra money and dont have to worry as much. After 90 days if nic is unhappy with this shift or this posission he is able to bid out to a different job or shift. After 120 days we will have health insurance... We have that now but we pay 460 dollars amonth....at clow they pay benifits for their employees so we will save 460 dollars amonth!!!! I can't wait for that...We are going to put that money in savings though...since we already have it in our budget...

This weekend we are going to be super busy with a wedding Nic's mom is getting remarried this weekend and we are booked until Sunday....Doesn't make for a very relaxing weekend. But there is always the next weekend...

Pray for Nic and I please as we transition into this new adventure...He will be on days for a week or two and then he will be working from 2:30-11pm Monday thru Friday... I will have my nights free to do what I want...

Another Update!

So some people might think that this is a bad thing but for Nic and I it is good...Instead of working 3rd shift Nic got offered a better job on 2nd shift at clow!!!!!!! now he will work from 2:30-11pm..I won't have to sleep alone!!!!!!!!!! Plus I should have the house all picked up and clean so I don't have to do it on the weekends and can spend all extra time with Nic!!!! Hopefully he won't be on 2nd shift long...the retirement rate is high right now so there is a chance he could move to first shift soon after starting but probably spend no longer then a year on this shift....God has truly answered our prayers yet again...He is truly awesome...Thanks God you ROCK!!!!

Update

Ok, Nic took the Clow job but to our surprise they filled the first job they offered him and now he will be working 3rd shift which is 9pm-7:30am...Neither of us are too keen on the idea of 3rd shift but understand this is what is best for our family at this time... There is a lot more room for advacement with this company then there is with his current company MCG... We are sure that this is the right plan for us and we are totally following God's lead...We both know that God wouldn't give us anything we couldn't handle. This will make us appreciated the time we have together more. Hope everyone has a happy Wed.!!!

New Job!

Nic has decided to take a new job at Clow!!! I am sooooo excited...The only down fall is that he will work from 2:30pm to 11 pm...so we will not see much of eachother during the week but we should have all of our house work done dunring the week so our weekends can be spent together...I hope that everyone had a great weekend!

Big News

Well, we have some good news in our family! Nic has been offered a full time job with benifits at his currrent job MCG but not able to get a raise until the first of the year (not sure we can wait that long.) Also Nic was offered a job at a local company Clow making more money and they pay for your insurance...He is not wanting to take the clow job but maybe leaning towards it to help us save some money and pay off some of our bills... Now he just has to make up his mind. I don't want to be pushy but I would like to see him take the clow job even if that means working second shift for awhile to help us...Have a great THURSDAY!!!

New!

Well...This is something I am very new at but thought I would give it a shot...I know alot of people who have blogs and they share about the kids and what is going on with them...Well I thought I would start one to see if I could keep up with it before I started having children (which won't be until after 2009 incase you were wondering.)

Nic and I have been married for almost 6 months...Boy how the time flies...It seems like only yesterday we got engaged and the whorle wind started...I am told that when we start having kids time will go faster...Is that possible??? I guess we will see. We are looking forward to spending the first holiday season together being married...We have already decided where we are going to put our first christmas tree...How weird are we??? We are so far enjoying married life just not the money problems that come with being married now... Why does it seem like things were way easier for me when I was not married and making the same payments??? It just get a little overwhelming but we are dealing with it... I try hard to not stress over it or let the small stuff bother me but it is tough...
